To die for weight loss …. Literally?

When it comes to loose 80 pounds, what is the best method? I'm tired of starving then binge. Not go into a health food / supplement store and ask for advice, b / c they feel that their opinions are biased, after all they are products selling weight loss. What if the only meat I eat is beef? Would that hinder successful weight loss?
